Win A Free Copy of Formational Children's Ministry

A few days ago, I wrote a review of Formational Children’s Ministry as part of the book blog tour for it. I already had obtained a copy of the book for myself before being asked to be a part of the blog tour. Today, I received the complimentary copy from Baker Books. I don’t need it since I have a marked up copy already.

If you would like a chance to win this copy, you need to do one of two things:

  1. Follow me (twitter.com/henryjz) on Twitter and tweet “@henryjz is giving away a free copy of Ivy Beckwith’s new book Formational Children’s Ministry on his blog http://tr.im/RdEe #kidmin”
  2. Leave a comment below sharing one reason you should win the book.

I will randomly choose someone at the end of the week and send them a copy of the book.

If you want another chance to win the book, Amy Dolan is giving away a free copy over on her blog!

I would love to have it in my Library as I have just started a new position as a Children's Minister at a church that has never had one before, but it is 400-500 people. All help would be appreciated.

I teach children's church on Sundays for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. We have a small church. I also help the other teacher on our Wednesday night program we have for children. We both could use the book to learn how to teach our childen what it is like to be a Christian. We can use all the experience we can learn ourselves to insure that the children will know why we turn to God in our daily lives. I'm hoping that by learning all we can, the children can carry on in the future to know that they will never be alone, they will always have God within their hearts and can count on Him for support. If I were to win this book, it would be a wonderful tool to use.

I would love to receive a copy of this book. As Theresa stated above, I am a volunteer in CM and have been doing so for over 20 years. I have recently started applying for a vocational position in Children's Ministry, and have started to compile a library of CM resources. It sounds like this book may be a great addition.

I am recasting the vision for our Children's Ministry, and am doing my best to really get educated on what's out there. I have been challenging myself to read some new books, and this is one of my top to-dos. Think it would be great to win it!

I am heading up a Team in creating an innovative ministry among the children in Leeds and we are open to new and different ways of facilitating children’s openness to God. we are also trying to be aware that the children teach us as much as we share with them. We have children from all denominations together in the city, once a term.I work part-time in Children’s ministry for the Church of England. I have a close firend who is just starting ministry with Children in a new job in a nearby church, I will share the book with her….and others!

I wish I had another copy to give to you! This give away was last March. So sorry. Have you connected with Mary Hawes over there? She’d be a great resource. She works with children’s ministries in the Church of England.
