Revisiting Orange 2010… Take Two!

A couple of months ago I had the great idea of listening to the keynote speakers from Orange 2010 and posting my thoughts after having had a few months of those talks simmering in the back of my mind. I also thought it’d be interesting to hear from all of you who went to Orange and find out what, if anything, you’ve done with your ministries as a response to what you heard at the conference. (If you didn’t go to Orange 2010, it’s OK for you to share your thoughts as well!) Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a major life transition and was not able to get those posts up. I’m back!

So, beginning this Monday (September 27), I’ll be posting thoughts, reflections and questions on each of the general sessions. I look forward to hearing from you and having some great conversations.

  3. […] When I set up my blogging schedule to look back at the general sessions from Orange 2010, I was unaware that this same week would be Orange Week. Funny how that works out… If you haven’t already, I encourage you to follow all the amazing bloggers who are a part of this year’s blogging event. You can check out a list of the bloggers as well as a schedule of topics over at ChildrensMinistryOnline. I’ll still be putting up my Revisiting Orange 2010 posts this week, but I will also throw in some other posts contributing to Orange Week. Boy, what a way to jump back into blogging! […]

  6. […] The gift that keeps on giving from Orange is the blog posts that have come from it.  During the weeks following Orange there were a surplus of blog posts.  If someone took the time, you could easily gather information from every session and breakout available, often from multiple viewpoints.  Even orangeleaders.org shared a variety of follow-ups.  To this day, six months after Orange, there are still follow-up posts coming out, such as Henry Zonio’s newest blog series.
