As I was perusing my Bloglines lineup, I came across this post over at PhilVisher.com. It was entitled “Big News,” so of course I had to check it out.
For those of you who may have been living in a remote cave for the past 15 or so years, Phil Visher is the mastermind behind VeggieTales. Since leaving Big Idea a few years back, Visher has started a new company called Jellyfish Labs. Jellyfish has been producing some fun videos using puppets, animation and real people. They’ve also got some fun shorts that summarize each book of the Bible. As of today, they have Genesis through Nehemiah. You can check it all out yourself.
The “Big News” that Phil announced on his blog was that they have partnered with Focus on the Family to produce some kids’ material over the next three year. Also, they have begun production on a 13-DVD series that will walk through the entire Bible. That project is slated to be released in the Spring of 2010 by Tyndale House.
I’ve been a fan of Phil Vischer’s work for a long time… Hey, I remember watching the very first VeggieTales video when it came out. I was a fan before anyone really heard of them 
It’s been really neat seeing Phil’s journey since losing Big Idea. I look forward to seeing what will come of this “Big News.”
